My career has spanned over 25 years working in the western suburbs of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have expertise in working with mood disorders, anxiety, substance abuse and/or dependency, loss/grieving, and life adjustments. I also specialize in treating women trauma survivors. Additionally, I focus on expanding clients' awareness of themselves at the center of their lives. This helps people to get in touch with feelings that have been deeply buried for a long time and to experience the full range of their feelings again. As a result, clients can have more choices on how to cope and respond to their life situations and are more ready to give and receive love, more integrated physically, emotionally, and spiritually—altogether more capable of achieving fulfilling lives. I am a partner in this process and assist clients to stay on the path, however, I do not always direct the path. Counseling is about what you want to accomplish, in an environment that is rich in empathy, rich in understanding, and where there is no judging. My counseling is unhurried and respectful of the pace at which you want and can work. I look forward to meeting you and beginning your journey with you.
